Job Summary

Monitor program standards including OCFS, OPWDD, CSE, and HIPAA while recognizing and evaluating divisional needs. Maintain safety, security, and behavioral management, empowered to make decisions per Agency Policy. Assign and reassign staff to meet individual unit needs, ensure staffing adherence to regulatory standards, and notify the Vice President of Quality Assurance regarding abuse allegations. Conduct briefings, complete end-of-month paperwork, and ensure quarterly fire drills occur within units. Assist the Activities Coordinator and Recreation department to incorporate daily recreational schedules. Uphold operational policies, understand union contractual agreements, and perform restraints while maintaining TCI certification. Manage time effectively to respond to the needs of a culturally diverse population.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a supervisory role
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
  • Equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand or run for moderate periods of time
  • Must have a valid NYS driver's license
  • Must be able to perform restraints and maintain TCI certification
  • Willingness to respond to the needs of a culturally diverse population
