Job Summary
Design, develop, and evaluate clinical and neurofeedback interventions for residents while making diagnoses and managing psychotropic medication recommendations. Provide supervision, training, and guidance to clinical staff, interns, and specialists; oversee the Counseling and Neurofeedback Departments to ensure alignment with licensing regulations and resident Plans of Service. Deliver crisis intervention, facilitate therapeutic group processes, and manage the department budget and administrative on-call duties. Collaborate with external graduate programs to recruit interns and assist in designing equine programs. Maintain current research and best practices in youth care programming.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's degree from an accredited university in Social Work, Child Psychology, Counseling, Human Services Administration or related field
- A license from the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, Texas State Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Texas State Board of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Texas State Board of Psychologists or similar licensure
- A Supervisory designation from the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, Texas State Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Texas State Board of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Texas State Board of Psychologists or similar licensure
- Intermediate competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.)
- Proficiency in general office equipment operation
- Exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills
- At least 21 years of age
- Bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing/pulling, prolonged sitting/standing
- A valid Texas driver's license
