Job Summary
Cafeteria/Warehouse Director responsible for overseeing school food service operations, supervising Head Cooks and warehouse staff, and ensuring nutritious meals within regulated guidelines. Manages departmental budget, inventory, menu planning, and procurement across multiple sites; coordinates with the Director of Operations and local district leadership. Requires knowledge of federal/state lunch reimbursement, commodities, reporting, and safety/health standards; strong organizational, supervisory, and communications skills; familiarity with nutrition and menu preparation. Frequent travel between schools is indicated; bilingual ability is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Technical training and experience in Cafeteria Managerial Services and related areas
- Background and preferably training in nutrition and menu preparation
- Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations applicable to Lunch Reimbursement, Commodities, Reporting, Etc.
- Supervisory experience of cooks/head cooks and warehouse staff
- Ability to plan and direct the work of others and coordinate with Director of Operations
- Bilingual preferred to support student/community communications
