Job Summary
Directs the daily clinical and administrative activities of the Hospice Program under the Hospice Governing Body, providing leadership, direction, and supervision for Hospice staff. Ensures implementation and compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation and Georgia state regulations; develops goals and objectives for the hospice program in alignment with the Governing Body; oversees quality assessment and performance improvement activities; manages program development including bereavement and volunteer services; coordinates contractual arrangements with pharmacies and medical equipment suppliers; maintains physician relationships and liaison with physicians, community agencies, and home care/private facilities; plans yearly budget and ensures financial viability; oversees recruitment, training, and evaluation of Hospice personnel; ensures personnel records and annual performance appraisals; promotes effective communication and supports organizational mission through servant leadership.
Required Qualifications
- A health care professional licensed to practice in the state of Georgia who has at least one year of supervisory or management experience in a hospice setting (RN Preferred); or An individual with education, training, and experience in health service administration who has at least two years of supervisory or management experience in a hospice setting.
- An Associate’s degree in Nursing
- A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work (MSW)
- Valid Driver’s License
