Job Summary
Orientation & Training Support: assist with new hire driver orientation and onboarding; verify onboarding paperwork; track completion of required training modules; provide logistical and administrative support during orientation sessions; maintain attendance records and training checklists. HOS Log Review & Compliance: perform daily ELD/HOS log reviews and required log edits; identify compliance violations; document findings; escalate concerns; collaborate with team to manage workload. CDL Road Testing: conduct CDL road tests; evaluate driver safety behaviors and regulatory compliance; determine pass/fail outcomes; provide written documentation supporting failed tests; deliver coaching-style performance feedback. Documentation & Escalation: maintain organized training/testing records; submit updates to Safety Supervisor; follow reporting structure for escalations; ensure DOT and company documentation standards. Other duties and projects as assigned. The position offers an hourly base pay range of $27.00 – $28.50; actual compensation based on experience and location.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or related coursework preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in trucking operations, safety, compliance, or fleet operations.
- Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and HOS regulations required.
- Experience reviewing ELD logs strongly preferred.
- Experience conducting CDL road tests preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
- Ability to create and maintain tracking spreadsheets and training records.
- Strong written documentation skills.
