Job Summary
Administrative Specialist at Midland Community Healthcare Services: serve as first point of contact handling phones, patient registration, scheduling, check-in/out, and payments. Responsible for verifying insurance and patient demographics, maintaining EMR data, collecting co-pays/deductibles, assisting with billing, and supporting patient satisfaction surveys. Duties include scheduling and confirming appointments, greeting patients, processing paperwork, reconciling day-end cash/credit card totals, and cross-training with the dental department to support front office and medical records.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 1-3 years of customer service experience preferred.
- 1-3 years of medical office experience preferred.
- No felony results on a criminal background screening.
- Drug Screen Test with a negative result.
- Bilingual preferred.
