Job Summary
Administrative Specialist I in the Victim Services Division provides detailed paraprofessional administrative support, coordinating unit activity with internal and external partners, handling inquiries, and representing the unit on committees. Responsibilities include scheduling calendars, processing accounting documentation (requisitions, purchase orders, claims, fund transfers), maintaining databases and generating complex reports, coordinating intergovernmental agreements and contracts, researching and analyzing information for routine and special reports, summarizing budget activity, managing confidential inquiries, and maintaining reference materials. Qualifications emphasize experience with Microsoft Office (Excel), data analysis and reporting, customer service, and an associate degree in relevant fields; notary license and valid AZ driver license may be required. The role requires the ability to handle sensitive information, preparation of operations manuals, and contributing to program budgets and regulatory compliance, with a grant-funded, end-date toward Sept 2027, and pre-employment background checks and possible drug screening.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in public administration, business administration, management, or closely related field OR one year with Pima County as Administrative Assistant III or closely-related professional administrative classification
