Job Summary
Administrative Specialist II provides scheduling support and liaises between patients, clinical staff, and department leaders to support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s mission. Responsibilities include scheduling patient appointments, managing calendars and meeting planning, drafting communications, data entry, preparing spreadsheets and presentations, coordinating travel, handling vendor payments and expense reports, and serving as an onsite representative for external groups. Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, and Adobe; strong written and oral communication; ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality in a clinical, academic, research, and leadership environment. Located in Boston and surrounding communities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent (High school diploma required)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum Experience: 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Zoom, and Adobe
- Ability to work independently
- Data entry and spreadsheet/presentation/document preparation
- Calender management and scheduling
- Travel arrangements coordination
- Maintaining confidentiality and professional demeanor
- Patient and clinical staff liaison responsibilities
