Job Summary
Provide administrative services across departments to support day-to-day operations; coordinate travel arrangements; assist the Administrative Services Manager with vendor management and building-related services; perform office tasks including data entry, word processing, preparing correspondence and reports, and maintaining inventories and supplies; support Human Resources with placing ads and scheduling interviews; greet visitors, answer phones, and provide information; assist with event preparation and logistics; maintain confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards; demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills; proficient in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; possess a high school diploma or GED with related experience and a New Mexico driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, plus two years related experience
- Must be able to type at least 45 wpm
- Proficiency in interpersonal communications
- Valid New Mexico Driver’s License
- Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation
- Knowledge of American Indian History, culture, and tribes
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
- Knowledge of records management and basic accounting procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative working skills
- Proficiency in business English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to greet the public politely and provide information
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to establish professional relationships with individuals from varying backgrounds
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Familiarity with Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Customer service skills
- Office equipment and software skills
- Experience with invoicing, billing, and light bookkeeping
- Ability to travel for events
