Job Summary
Coordinate surgical procedures for assigned faculty by identifying time frames, obtaining insurance authorizations, and posting entries into the EPIC EMR. Optimize OR schedules during assigned days, release unutilized time to other faculty, and manage co-surgical procedures with outside offices. Maintain outlook and academic calendars, assist with travel, registration, and expense reimbursements, and serve as the primary contact for academic and research activities. Spend 50% of time on administrative support while acting as a backup for the front desk on an as-needed basis.
Required Qualifications
- Experience within a large surgical practice
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- A firm understanding of insurance
