Administrative Scrape Associate

Job Summary
Inspect, weigh, and grade incoming scrap materials from customers while accurately recording purchases in internal software. Input all transactions into computer systems to generate invoices and bills of lading, then prepare and distribute shipping documentation. Manage daily cash, check, and credit procedures, maintaining records of shipments and yard inventory. Coordinate truck traffic in and out of the yard, assist in packaging materials for shipment, and operate equipment such as hi-lo loaders as needed. Follow safety and radiation protocols while keeping the scale house and work area clean.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of administrative or operations-related experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using Microsoft Office and basic accounting or POS systems
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in recordkeeping
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and operate equipment safely
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Associate degree in business or related field
