Job Summary
Administrative Office Specialist handling triage of phone calls and patient inquiries, HIPAA-compliant communications, and collaboration with clinicians. Responsibilities include processing messages from EPIC, drafting written communications, sending welcome letters to new patients, triaging and responding to office emails, checking faxes for signatures, ensuring patients have MYHSS activated, handling patient and insurance information updates, obtaining insurance authorizations as appropriate, and supporting office operations with document scanning and medical records management. Requires strong customer service, organizational skills, and familiarity with Epic and medical terminology; prior healthcare/medical secretary experience is preferred. Notable environment features include teamwork, professional patient interactions, and adherence to hospital policies and privacy guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 1-3 years Experience in Healthcare/Medical
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience with Epic
