Job Summary
Coordinate referred health care for the PRC program patients across TONHC facilities; manage referrals from initial to follow-up, determine eligibility, respond to PRC inquiries, and enter referrals into RCIS; schedule referred appointments, educate patients on instructions, and track visit records; maintain PRC patient files, compile monthly referral statistics, and liaise with hospitals, providers, and tribal health partners; ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and applicable regulations; demonstrate ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and contribute to team efforts; knowledge of TONHC programs and medical coding basics, with strong computer and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
- Completion of approved medical assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES or recognized accrediting agency OR CMA/RMA certification from AAMA or AMT OR completion of a medical services training program from the U.S. Armed Forces OR Arizona Notary Public Commission within six months of hire
