Job Summary
Administrative Manager leads the administrative, accounting, and operational support functions for a single distribution branch, supervising accounting technicians, administrative staff, and an inventory control specialist. Partners with Branch Manager and regional/corporate teams to ensure accurate, efficient operations; manages on-site HR administration, timekeeping, onboarding, benefits enrollment, and HR documentation; serves as the ERP/IT liaison and coordinates procurement, onboarding, and special projects. Responsibilities span day-to-day transactional accounting (A/R, A/P, invoicing, receiving, general ledger), month-end close, inventory reconciliation, and cross-functional collaboration with sales, operations, and accounting to drive process improvements. Requires hands-on leadership, experience with ERP systems (preferably Agility), timekeeping/payroll coordination, HR processes (FMLA, leave regulations, workers’ compensation documentation), and strong organizational and communication skills. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business and experience in distribution/wholesale or building products; familiarity with Agility ERP and HR compliance knowledge is a plus. We emphasize a collaborative, growth-oriented environment with a focus on team development, performance management, and cross-department coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting, office administration, or branch operations; distribution, building materials, or wholesale experience preferred
- Prior experience supervising or leading a small team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP or branch accounting systems
- Working knowledge of timekeeping, payroll coordination, and HR administrative processes including leave management
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced branch environment
- Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with regional and corporate support teams
