Job Summary
Manage and maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Coordinate patient appointments, admissions, and discharge processes to ensure seamless patient flow. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and preparing patients for examinations. Serve as a point of contact for patients and staff, addressing inquiries and facilitating communication between departments. Support inventory management by tracking medical supplies and equipment, and coordinate restocking as needed. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards within the facility. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on policies and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the United States
- High school diploma or equivalent
- completion of an accredited vocational nursing program
- Basic proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures relevant to nursing
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must be knowledgeable with Home Care Home Base
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in an administrative nursing role within a healthcare facility
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR
- Experience with scheduling software and inventory management systems
- Additional training or coursework in healthcare administration
