Job Summary
Administrative Healthcare Leader (Coach) serves as the primary mentor to staff within Otterbein SeniorLife's Small House Neighborhood (nursing home model), guiding teams to enhance quality of life for residents. Responsibilities include leading and coaching staff, understanding the Small House philosophy, observing house dynamics and interpersonal relationships, conducting interviews and new hire orientation, collecting daily and weekly performance inputs, supporting SDWT compliance, reviewing menus and scorecards, providing training materials, identifying issues and developing action plans, and completing staff evaluations when appropriate. Requires licensure in Ohio as a Nursing Home Administrator (or in an approved Administrator in Training program), with RN/LPN licensure a plus; education typically a BS/BA in a related field. The role emphasizes compassionate leadership, teamwork, continuous learning, and development within a non-profit senior living organization offering comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a current Ohio Nursing Home Administrator license or be in an approved Administrator in Training (AIT) program
- RN or LPN license a PLUS
- Education: BS or BA in related field
- Interest in caring for the quality of life needs of the elders and willingness to work as a member of the team
- Ability to lead, coach, and direct staff; understands change processes; conducts interviews and participates in orientation
- Compliance with Self Directed Work Team (SDWT) requirements and training
- BS/BA in related field for role suitability
