Job Summary
Coordinate departmental operations for Labor and Delivery, Postpartum/couplet care, and the NICU, guiding overall direction to ensure safe, high-quality care across 175 full-time equivalents. Develop and maintain clinical policies, evaluate service line performance, and support workforce development by verifying competencies and fostering professional practice. Manage approximately 2,800 annual deliveries while driving service line expansion through outreach, collaboration, and business development initiatives. Participate in performance improvement efforts and interdisciplinary committees. Full-time day shift with no weekends; Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master's degree required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field (or other appropriate postgraduate degree)
- Active Texas RN license or compact state RN license
- National specialty certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
- Minimum of 10 years of recent Women's and Children's nursing experience (Labor & Delivery, NICU, PICU, Pediatrics, or related areas)
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience
