Job Summary
Collect, verify, and distribute tills and change drawers; total all checks, cash, credit cards, and create reports from the previous day. Oversee the balancing of the safe, prepare bank deposits, and record data for cash, checks, food stamps, WIC instruments, and charge vendor coupons. Facilitate hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees while maintaining store files and ordering office supplies. Process internal transfers, ensure timekeeping and payroll functions are completed correctly, and pull sales reports for each department. Adhere to safety, health, and compliance regulations while supporting a positive work environment. Flexible to perform secondary roles as a cashier or head cashier as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a High school diploma or equivalent
- Regular, dependable attendance
- Lift 30 pounds
- Push/pull less than 5 pounds
- Occasionally, lifting heavier items during a typical workday
- Sit for extended periods
- Perform repetitive hand, wrist, finger, and eye movement
- Wear PPE consistent with the task assignment, including but not limited to non-slip, closed-toe shoes, long pants, hair/beard covers, a face-covering or mask, and gloves (latex and or cut-resistant)
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in retail store accounting, administrative, and human resources procedures
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights, weekends, and holidays
