Job Summary
Manage in-store accounting procedures, cash and funds, timekeeping, and payroll transmissions while maintaining up-to-date store files and an efficient stock of office supplies. Collect and verify tills, total checks and cash, oversee safe balancing, and prepare bank deposits for various payment instruments. Partner with Human Resources on hiring, onboarding, and training new employees, while facilitating internal transfers and job changes. Support front-end security to control cash and shrink, and assist customers with product knowledge and sales information. Maintain a clean, sanitized office environment and adhere to all safety, health, and compliance regulations. Shift schedules include 8-10 hours with breaks, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a High school diploma or equivalent
- Regular, dependable attendance
- Be proficient in Outlook, Excel, and Word
- knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting
- knowledge of human resources software
- Lift 30 pounds
- push/pull less than 5 pounds
- Occasionally, lifting heavier items during a typical workday
- Sit for extended periods
- perform repetitive hand, wrist, finger, and eye movement
- Wear PPE consistent with the task assignment, including but not limited to non-slip, closed-toe shoes, long pants, hair/beard covers, a face-covering or mask, and gloves (latex and or cut-resistant)
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in retail store accounting, administrative, and human resources procedures
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights, weekends, and holidays
