Job Summary
Administrative Coordinator at Boston Medical Center’s Immigrant & Refugee Health Center provides high-level clerical and operational support: creating and editing documents, coordinating onboarding for providers, staff, and volunteers, managing calendars and meetings, overseeing purchasing and inventory, handling mail and front-desk coverage, supporting grant submissions and donor communications, maintaining program materials and websites, coordinating events, and ensuring consistent communications across programs. The role also includes notary duties, coordination of space utilization, and general administrative tasks across IRHC programs.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Business Management (or related field) plus 3 years related experience
- HS/GED plus 5 years related experience
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year administrative or office experience
- Superior verbal/written English communication skills, including excellent grammatical, editing and proofreading skills
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web browsers
- Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment
- Excellent organizational skills, including strong attention to detail and time management
- Effective interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of staff and external contacts
- Strong problem solving skills
- Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all personal/health sensitive information
