Job Summary
Administrative Coordinator & DeafBlind Co-Navigator provides high-level executive communication access to the Associate Executive Director, integrating executive coordination with DeafBlind access services. Responsibilities include real-time communication access across leadership engagements, coordinating calendar and travel, preparing reports and briefing materials, supporting accessibility needs (tactile ASL, Protactile, braille formats), and coordinating national meetings with stakeholders. Requires Bachelor's degree, 3–5 years of experience with DeafBlind individuals, ASL/Protactile proficiency, and strong MS 365 skills. Role is based in Sands Point, NY, and involves national travel; operates in a dedicated co-navigation model to support AED autonomy and participation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3–5 years experience supporting individuals who are DeafBlind
- Proficiency in ASL and/or Protactile communication methods
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Experience coordinating high-level meetings and travel
- Experience preparing reports, presentations, and briefing materials
- Ability to provide real-time communication access and accessibility services (including tactile ASL, Protactile, braille formats)
