Job Summary
Modify, update, and maintain information within automated databases and information systems while performing data entry, record searches, inquiries, and reporting activities. Conduct NCIC checks on contractors, vendors, visitors, and other authorized individuals; review results to assist with visitor processing, day pass issuance, and driver's license verification. Generate reports, records, and supporting documentation as required, and provide fingerprint capture services to submit records to authorized agencies. Upload completed documentation into designated personnel security and records management systems, ensuring compliance with records management, information protection, and document control requirements. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive, personal, and security-related information while supporting Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 and Federal Information Processing Standard 201 credentialing requirements. Work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, when required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of three (3) years of specialized experience directly related to administrative support, records management, personnel security, or a related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of data entry experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a professional office environment
- Ability to accurately handle high-volume data entry and repetitive administrative tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Working knowledge of database systems, data entry platforms, and Microsoft Windows-based computer environments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to successfully meet drug-free workplace requirements, including random testing programs
- Ability to achieve a keyboarding speed of at least 35 words per minute with a minimum 80% accuracy rate
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive, personal, and security-related information
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal government, Department of Homeland Security, or personnel security programs
- Experience working with NCIC systems or law enforcement databases
- Experience supporting credentialing, badging, fingerprinting, or adjudication processes
- Associate's degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field
- Experience supporting records management and document control programs
- Knowledge of administrative support functions, records management practices, and office procedures
- Knowledge of business correspondence, report preparation, filing systems, and documentation management
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
