Job Summary
Support the Aerospace Engineering Department head, faculty, and staff with scheduling, meeting coordination, room reservations, and catering logistics. Manage reimbursements, expense reports, and travel arrangements while acting as the primary contact for Facilities, IT, and custodial teams on operational issues. Coordinate safety inspections, vendor visits, and renovation projects, then assist the School of Engineering with marketing, social media management, website updates, and reception duties. Maintain departmental calendars, distribution lists, and Drupal content for events and announcements. Work 60% of the week in Aerospace Engineering and 40% in the School of Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- One to Two years of experience in a professional setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in Zoom
- Proficient in various forms of social media
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Solid attention to detail
- Problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to collaborate with staff, faculty, and students across multiple departments and divisions within WPI
- Openness to learning new skills and programs
