Job Summary
Administrative Assistant to the Transportation Director at Champlain Valley School District. Provide direct administrative and operational support to the Transportation Director; manage, download, and organize departmental data sets with clear data visualizations; create, format, and edit letters, articles, presentations, and digital website content; maintain financial records for the department including tracking expenditures and ordering parts, supplies, and equipment via specialized software; oversee calendar and schedule management for the transportation department; assist with school bus route development and student tracking using transportation routing software; deliver high-quality customer service to district staff, families, and community members; proficient with Google Workspace, strong reliability, communication, and ability to learn new software and work cooperatively with students, staff, families, and supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency with Google Workspace / G Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides)
- Strong dependability and ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to learn and navigate transportation routing and related software
- Ability to collaborate with students, staff, families, and supervisors
