Job Summary
Coordinate and support mandated data entry into local LEA student reporting systems for special education, overseeing test and analysis of data exported into the PA Information Management System to ensure accuracy. Consult with Pennsylvania Department of Education representatives, software vendors, and school district administration regarding information management, reporting requirements, and compliance procedures related to data submission and funding. Make on-site visits to school districts to provide training and support for special education data and reporting, while developing and generating reports in MS Access, Excel, and ODBC for use by directors and staff. Maintain special education student data confidentiality and follow established procedures to protect protected student information.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Detail-oriented
- Solid project management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with staff
- Ability to interact positively with representatives from the community
- Proficient typing skills
- Computer experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Access, and ODBC)
- Ability to stoop
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to crouch
- Ability to crawl
- Ability to reach
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 lbs
- Verbal and hearing skills to effectively communicate
