Administrative Assistant / Scheduler Per Diem Weekends

Job Summary
Answer telephone calls and direct them to the appropriate person while inputting data into the EMR. Conduct accurate daily scheduling of clinical staff to track patient care coverage and respond to scheduled or unscheduled absences by coordinating per diem and other patient care personnel. Prioritize duties daily in response to rapidly changing patient care needs and assist the Crisis Care coordinator when required. This role supports the organization's strategic plan and requires multi-tasking with excellent customer service skills. The position involves standing, sitting, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs, with a requirement for attendance as a condition of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year of office support experience
- Computer literate with intermediate knowledge of Word
- basic Excel
- Windows skills
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Experience in scheduling clinical staff in accordance with staffing requirements
- Must be able to prioritize duties on a daily basis in response to rapidly changing patient care needs
- Ability to utilize outstanding customer service skills
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Incumbent may be required to perform emergency duty before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency, crisis situation or disaster
