Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides confidential administrative support to Directors, coordinating workflow with other administrative staff and ensuring efficient operation of the portfolio(s). Responsibilities include assisting with processes and practices, supporting governance and organizational relationships, minute taking and information synthesis, editing for clarity, accuracy and conciseness, and contributing to a collaborative team environment in a Health Authority setting.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Grade XII supplemented by a recognized business course, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a senior administrative assistant-type role
- Exceptional planning, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including editing for clarity, accuracy and conciseness
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Exchange, Schedule Plus, Visio, Intranet/Internet, and ability to learn new programs
