Job Summary
The Records Manager/Administrative Assistant supports district records management to ensure legal compliance, including creation, classification, storage, retrieval, and destruction of records; manages public information requests; coordinates with departments and leadership; provides high-level admin support including calendar management, meeting logistics, correspondence, and travel arrangements; maintains confidential, auditable records; requires bilingual Spanish skills, proficiency with Google Suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SIS; strong organizational and interpersonal abilities; emphasizes FERPA/FERPA-linked statutes compliance and timely, accurate documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) Required
- Professional written communication skills in Spanish
- Minimum of three years’ experience in an office or administrative setting requiring customer interaction and service
- Experience in records management and handling public information requests strongly preferred
- Familiar with the Texas Public Information Act, the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), or other governmental public information statutes.
