Job Summary

Manage multiple priorities including leases, tenant files, inspections, applications, invoices, work orders, and important deadlines. Communicate professionally with tenants, applicants, vendors, contractors, staff, and community partners while maintaining confidentiality regarding tenant financial information and personal records. Prioritize emergency maintenance concerns, critical compliance or lease deadlines, and routine matters through thorough review of paperwork and follow-up on outstanding documentation. Collaborate with Property Managers, leasing staff, maintenance, compliance, accounting, and outside vendors to ensure efficient property operations. Track lease renewals, recertifications, and vendor documentation to ensure all time-sensitive requirements are met.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Clean & valid NYS Driver License

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience in property management, affordable housing, supportive housing, or a housing-related administrative role
  • Familiarity with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties and compliance requirements
  • Experience working with HUD, HCR, or other affordable housing programs
  • Experience with property-management or housing software
  • Experience working with tenant files, income certifications, recertifications, leases, inspections, or housing applications
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing requirements and affordable housing compliance practices
  • Experience in affordable housing or LIHTC property management
  • Strong administrative, customer service, and organizational experience
  • Eager to learn
