Job Summary
Coordinate department operations, manage provider networks, and oversee program development for SCCMHA. Generate performance reports, update websites, and handle banking functions while supporting the Director of Network Services. Manage committee schedules, distribute newsletters, and assist with grant submissions and recertification processes. Troubleshoot EVV errors and represent the department at meetings and consumer events. Maintain confidential directories and policy manuals while adhering to trauma-informed recovery practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Bachelor's Degree in Business
- Academic concentration in human service or healthcare administration preferred
- One (1) year experience in human service or health care administration
- Professional administrative or clinical experience working with mental health populations
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illness
- Experience working in office settings with diverse peers
- Valid Michigan Driver's license
- Good driving record
- Clinical awareness and sensitivity
- General business and effective editing skills
- Computer competency, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet, E-Mail
- Advanced computer skills, including all Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook, Publisher, Project Manager and Adobe
- Ability to plan and organize work and provide small group leadership
- Effective oral and written communication skills, minimum at college level
- Ability to organize and maintain data and information
- Problem solving and mediation abilities
- Ability to maintain favorable public relations and provide community leadership
- Ability to exercise independent and mature judgment
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to work independently
- Hearing acuity to converse in person and on telephone
- Visual Acuity to read and proofread documents and use critical reasoning and thinking
- Ability to walk, stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity to write and to operate standard office equipment (PC, Keyboard, Copy Machine, Fax Machine, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry files and supplies at least 20 pounds
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with leadership, employees, consumers, provider network, and the general public
- Analytical skills necessary to conduct research, analyze, and interpret complex data and identify and solve problems by proposing courses of action
- Ability to plan short and long range and to manage and schedule time
- Ability to handle stress in meeting deadlines and dealing with large numbers of employees and/or consumers
- Requires travel to multiple locations
- Sometimes in bad weather
Desired Qualifications
- An academic concentration in human service or healthcare administration is preferred
- Professional administrative or clinical experience working with mental health populations, particularly individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illness is preferred
