Job Summary
Administrative Assistant (Mandarin speaking) to support restaurant operations and HR/payroll duties. Responsibilities include leading recruitment processes, onboarding new hires, updating employee files, conducting payroll processing on ADP, distributing HR notifications, maintaining databases and reports, and collaborating with front-of-house and back-of-house managers to support daily operations. Qualifications emphasize a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or HR-related field (preferred), HR experience (preferred), and fluency in English with Mandarin and Spanish as preferred languages. The role requires independent work in a fast-paced environment with strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or HR related field (preferred)
- Previous HR experience is preferred
- More than 1 year of HR work experience (restaurants experience preferred)
- Fluent in English; Mandarin and Spanish preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with varied projects, deadlines and priorities
- Advanced problem solving/judgment skills, high attention to detail and accuracy
- Hardworking, professional, strong interpersonal communication and teamwork
- Duties include recruiting, employment changes, vacation and resignation processes; onboarding; payroll processing on ADP; maintaining personnel records; new hire orientation; employee handbook review; payroll-related issues; HR notifications to employees; database reporting; coordinating with front/back of house managers
