Job Summary
Administrative Assistant, Legal responsibilities include maintaining attorney calendars and master docket calendar for legal deadlines; coordinating and overseeing document production for assigned cases; assisting attorneys with case management; providing broad office administration to support daily operations of the District’s legal office; developing, writing, and editing a range of documents (letters, memos, reports, presentations); purchasing and maintaining inventory of department supplies; serving as primary contact for staff and external partners; prioritizing conflicting needs and following through on projects under deadline pressure; developing and administering departmental procedures; reviewing correspondence, routing, and tracking follow-up actions; managing calendars, arranging meetings/travel, monitoring budgets, and preparing financial reports using online systems. Location: Fort Myers, Florida. The role emphasizes strong written and oral communication, organization, knowledge of HIPAA/public records laws, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a business or law-related field
- Five (5) years of experience in administrative field
