Job Summary
Prepare military correspondence, memorandums, reports, letters, and emails while maintaining accurate records and databases. Screen calls, greet visitors, and direct inquiries to appropriate personnel. Compile production statistics, create documents for leadership signature, and research administrative matters to relay findings to management. Identify workflow issues and recommend improvements to enhance office efficiency. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and government software to support daily operations of the Military Legal Office. Maintain confidentiality and ensure all documentation complies with Navy administrative requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Business, Administration, or a related field
- Minimum three (3) years of military administrative experience within a Military Legal office
- Working knowledge of current Department of Defense and U.S. Navy correspondence requirements
- Experience preparing official Naval correspondence
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint
- Familiarity with: Military Personnel Manual (MILPERSMAN)
- Familiarity with: Judge Advocate General Manual (JAGMAN)
- Familiarity with: Uniform Code of Military Justic (UCMJ)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a government office environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
