Job Summary
Provide secretarial, administrative, and scheduling support to the College of Arts & Sciences Dean, Associate Dean, and Admin office. Monitor budgets, supervise student workers, order supplies, and execute clerical tasks. Coordinate events, meetings, and recruitment opportunities for the Humanities Department, Public History Initiatives, and student organizations, including CFAW, Experience LU, New London Day, and Chaplains Museum promotions. Assist with website updates, social media management, and LU Online operations. Schedule and supervise student workers, delegate weekly tasks, and monitor hours in Workday. Utilize MS Office and LU applications such as Canvas, SSB Finance, WordPress, Emburse, and BuyLU. Travel to local and campus locations using personal or university vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English
- Public communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer and scheduling skills
- Problem-solving ability
- Valid Virginia driver's license
- Acceptable DMV record
- Liability insurance
- Ability to travel to local and campus locations
- Ability to sit to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard
- Ability to hear and speak
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs
- Ability to handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop
- Ability to regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds
- Strict adherence to Liberty University policies
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Experience in a high-volume office setting
- Knowledge of LU applications such as Canvas, SSB Finance, WordPress, Emburse, and BuyLU
- Understanding of the basics of operational budget
- Understanding of P-Card policy
- Ability to arrange travel
