Job Summary
Administrative Assistant I provides administrative support to the Bureau of Administrative Reviews within the Office of General Counsel, handling customer service, answering calls, preparing hearing packets, maintaining filing systems, processing public record requests, and handling clerical tasks to ensure efficient operations. Responsibilities include communicating with customers and staff, taking messages, collecting and reviewing documentation, maintaining office calendars, managing mail and office supplies, and billing/collecting fees in accordance with statutory guidelines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SharePoint, strong typing/data entry, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are required. Occasional travel may be required; a high school diploma or GED is necessary, along with a valid driver’s license and CJIS security clearance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in customer service
- One or more years of experience performing administrative tasks in an office setting
- Applicants who are multi-lingual (ability to speak and read a foreign language)
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
