Job Summary
Maintain and update databases, ensuring data is organized and accessible for reporting purposes. Develop documentation for data processes, workflows, and reporting standards while performing tracking and processing of adjuster renewal licenses and internal claim audits. Ensure data integrity through regular audits and validation checks, then collaborate with departments to deliver customized reporting solutions. Gather, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data to support business objectives and present findings to stakeholders. This hybrid role requires four days of on-site presence (Tuesday–Thursday) in Richfield, with one remote day. The position supports National Interstate's niche expertise in commercial transportation insurance and alternative risk transfer programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics, reporting or a related field
- Proficiency in analyzing data sets and identifying patterns, trends, and insights
- Proficiency in reporting and data analysis tools (Cognos, Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Familiarity with scripting languages
- General knowledge of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
- Strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship
- On-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely
- Core in‐office days are Tuesday–Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in the insurance industry
- Completion of or continuing progress toward a certification in area of expertise preferred; appropriate certifications could include an Associate Insurance Data Manager (AIDM), or Certificate in General Insurance (INS)
