Job Summary
Administrative Assistant to the Director of Finance providing executive support, reception, and a range of administrative functions for the Finance Department. Responsibilities include records management, drafting reports and correspondence, coordinating meetings and travel, managing credit cards, maintaining the county website information, processing tenant rent payments using Yardi, accounts payable/receivable tasks, and general administrative duties to support department operations. Requires strong Microsoft Office skills, ability to coordinate across multiple tasks, excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal abilities, and adherence to privacy and confidentiality standards. Working in-office with a typical 35-hour workweek and potential peak-period demands.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Office Administration Executive or equivalent training
- Two years of clerical support experience
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with data bases and internet use
- Strong communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Understanding of occupational health and safety requirements
