Job Summary
Administrative Assistant to support the Executive and HR teams, handling day-to-day administrative operations, reception for the Executive Department, finance transactions in the PO system, filing, correspondence, meeting coordination (including travel, venue, and catering), records management, and coordination of events and special projects. Requires a strong multi-tasker with excellent verbal and written communication, professional presentation, confidentiality, and the ability to interact with internal/external stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with requisition/PO software, and the ability to produce professional documents, reports, and presentations. In-office Edmonton-based role with regular hours, occasional evenings/weekends, and provincial travel as needed. Knowledge of Métis culture is an asset. The organization emphasizes cultural sensitivity and professional conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Administrative certificate/diploma or education in a related field
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar administrative or receptionist role
- Minimum two years of customer service experience
- Experience working in an Executive unit, with senior leadership, or within Indigenous organizations is an asset
