Job Summary

Administrative Assistant – Durham: Support the Durham office and collaborate with teams across four locations using Microsoft Teams. Manage front-office tasks, organize and scan tax return documents, log and file tax returns, set up clients and workspaces, prepare binders and PDF creation, and coordinate with the Admin team on special projects. Welcome clients and visitors, manage office supplies, assist with day-to-day operations, schedule meetings, handle inquiries, and perform data entry. Responsibilities include shipping packages, running office errands, and maintaining a professional lobby. Hybrid work is available (2-3 days in-office). Eligible for relocation assistance. Candidates should have strong multitasking, client-facing skills, and a willingness to support the administrative team, with Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; typing 30 wpm; basic data entry and filing; familiarity with accounting environment preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional presence and polished demeanor
  • Prior public accounting experience preferred
  • Familiarity with accounting, vendor relationships, general technology use, basic data entry, and fundamental math skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, including email and calendar functions
  • Ability to quickly learn and use industry-specific software as needed
  • Working knowledge of standard office equipment
  • Typing speed of 30 wpm
  • Alpha/numeric filing skills
  • Positive, outgoing attitude and a willingness to support fellow administrative team members
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and maintain close attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
