Job Summary
Manage medical records as the Medical Record Practitioner, ensuring HIPAA compliance for storage, security, and destruction. Answer phones, greet patients and visitors, and direct them to appropriate destinations. Create memos, correspondence, reports, and documents as requested. Maintain billing information for in-center and transient patients, verifying insurance and obtaining pre-authorizations. Key daily flow sheets, generate reports, balance charges, and check entries for accuracy. Assist AR personnel with notifying patients about delinquent accounts and collecting accounts. Complete logs for incoming checks and cash, and verify patient status daily for hospitalizations or missed treatments. Prepare new patient packets for admissions and transient patients. Assist Nurse Manager, Area Operations Director, and clinical staff with clerical work. Part-time, 20 hours/week, flexible shift start time. Pay range $20-$30 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three to six months related experience and/or training
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred
