Job Summary
This Administrative Assistant role supports daily school operations at Dayton Early College Academy (DECA) by performing clerical tasks, greeting visitors, answering calls, inputting and monitoring student data in eSchool, EMIS reporting, maintaining family and student records, preparing memos/newsletters, coordinating substitute teachers, managing office supplies, and facilitating communications with staff, families, and partners. The position requires proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Docs, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, ability to handle confidential information, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. This role reports to the building principal and supports various duties to ensure smooth operation of school activities across campuses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Google Docs, and other related software and technology
- Knowledge of eSchool system
- Knowledge of EMIS reporting and procedures
- Ability to meet and work effectively with the public
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all employees
- Ability to manage confidential information
