Job Summary
Provide confidential administrative and clerical support to the Supervisor of Special Education and the Special Education Department. Responsibilities include maintaining student records, coordinating meetings (including IEP team meetings), preparing compliance documentation, and supporting departmental operations to ensure compliant delivery of services under FERPA/IDEA. Manage calendars, prepare correspondence, reports, and meeting packets; assist with payroll documentation, budgets, invoices, purchase orders, and filing systems; ensure timely completion of state/federal reporting and compliance audits. Serve as liaison between the Special Education Office, schools, families, outside agencies, and service providers. Requires High School diploma and prior secretarial/administrative support experience; strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to handle confidential information and operate software tools (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations).
Required Qualifications
- High School (or equivalent)
- Prior secretarial or administrative support experience (preferred)
