Administration - Facilities Manager

Job Summary
Oversees facilities operations for Tribal Administration buildings, ensuring safety, security and functionality. Manages contracts and preventive maintenance for HVAC, elevators, fire protection, building renovations and surveillance; develops and maintains a preventive maintenance/work order system; coordinates with Tribal Safety Committee and other departments; conducts inspections and provides improvement recommendations; manages vendor relationships, service contracts, and payments; ensures compliance with building health and safety standards and codes; coordinates tenant improvements and projects, tracks status and budgets, and supports emergency preparedness planning. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of hands-on building operations experience; strong project management, procurement, and supervisory skills; ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and maintain confidentiality; licensing and background-check requirements apply.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Building Science, Building Operations, Project Management or related field from an accredited institution
- four years of work experience responsible for technical day-to-day building operations
- equivalent combination of education and experience with hands-on building maintenance and operations
- ability to write operating procedures for facilities oversight systems
- ability to schedule work with contractors and service providers
- ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals
- strong organizational and communication skills
- valid Washington State driver’s license and ability to obtain driving record
- criminal background check clearance
