Job Summary
Process accounts payable and manage accurate, timely payroll for all employee groups, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations. Administer group benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations, while reconciling invoices and coordinating payments. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits, prepare statutory documents such as T4s and ROEs, and generate reports for HR and finance teams. Manage vendor relationships, support system upgrades, and assist with audits to maintain data integrity. Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience. Requires a Diploma or Degree in Business Admin or Accounting, minimum three years of payroll and benefits experience, and proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office. Full-time role in Lindsay, Ontario, with salary starting at $60,000.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Business Admin, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
- Proficiency in payroll software (Dayforce/Ceridian), Microsoft Office Suite and Sharepoint
- Strong understanding of federal and provincial payroll regulations
- Must be able to follow SOPs, GMPs, and complete forms accurately
- Must be confident working in a team environment
- Flexibility of hours when necessary
- Reliable attendance is mandatory
- Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada
- Candidates with a valid Canadian work permit
Desired Qualifications
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation is considered an asset
- Knowledge of Business Central or other ERP system is considered an asset
