Plan, organize, and direct resources for one to two departments on a twenty-four-hour basis, managing budgets, staff recruitment, and equipment while achieving quality outcomes. Establish goals supporting the facility's strategic plans, develop annual operating and capital budgets, and direct daily operations and staff performance. Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies, communicate with medical staff and external customers, and utilize data analysis to redesign workflows and reduce risks. Select personnel for hire and promotion, coach direct reports, and facilitate consensus among divergent groups to minimize turnover. Participate in performance management, quality initiatives, and case management efforts to ensure department readiness for every patient.
