Job Summary
The School Adjustment Counselor assists students with social-emotional, behavioral, and environmental issues affecting learning by providing prevention, intervention, and referral services; conducts individual and group counseling for anxiety, school avoidance, social skills, conflict resolution, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and self-advocacy; develops and measures IEP goals/Objectives; conducts Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and participates in IEP/504 processes; liaises with families, teachers, administrators, and community resources; provides psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention; collaborates to implement therapeutic strategies, conducts classroom presentations, maintains clinical records, and supports student well-being in alignment with district policies and state regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed School Adjustment Counselor
- two years of experience preferred
