Job Summary
Respond to inquiries from policyholders, claimants, injured workers, and stakeholders regarding claim status, payments, and bills. Obtain and verify information by gathering missing details from relevant parties to support accurate claim processing. Assist with claim documentation by preparing state filings, closing documents, and administrative requests. Draft and distribute correspondence to policyholders, claimants, agents, and vendors in accordance with company standards. Maintain accurate claim records by entering data into the claims management system and coordinate external vendors such as appraisers, attorneys, and contractors. Process payments and invoices by reviewing and issuing payments per adjuster direction. This hybrid role requires two days in an office and supports the claims department for Amerisure, a top 100 Property & Casualty company managing nearly $1 Billion in Direct Written Premium.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to obtain appropriate state licensing as required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to input data with a high accuracy rating, and strong attention to detail
- Hybrid for 2 days in one of our offices
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in insurance, claims, or customer service
- Familiarity with claims management software
