Job Summary
Candidates will teach, lecture, and instruct laboratory coursework in various CAD and CAD-related curriculum. Responsibilities include conveying basic concepts to students, with an emphasis on Computer-Aided Design/Drafting in the Mechanical Design industry. Required skills include knowledge of traditional drafting and CAD design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks, along with understanding mechanical drawing techniques, 3D Parametric Modeling, and manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a related area from a regionally accredited college or university
- 5-10 years of recent professional work experience using AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks in 2D and 3D applications
- Computer and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of print reading and technical math
- Some form of academic instruction at the college level is desirable
Desired Qualifications
- Experience extending beyond theoretical knowledge into practical usage and understanding of core CAD components
- CNC Technology experience
- Robotics experience
- Inspection and Metrology experience
- CAM/CIM experience
