Job Summary
Adjunct faculty member to teach Woodworking Technology. Facilitate student learning and develop instructional strategies across delivery modalities (hybrid, in-person, virtual, and online). Responsibilities include learning facilitation, assessment, curriculum development to ensure currency and alignment with employer expectations, classroom management, and collaboration with division and community/industry partners to recruit students and promote programs. Advise students on class schedules and career information; maintain safety and equipment security; engage in ongoing professional development and apply innovative teaching techniques. Hourly pay rate is $45.00, with courses offered per instruction and per-course basis; total hours typically range around 3–8 per week, with day, evening, and weekend classes possible.
Required Qualifications
- Technical Diploma in Woodworking Technology
- Minimum of two years of occupational experience in the program or programs being taught
- Valid Driver's License
- Proficient with MS Office, Bluebeam, Procore, and Revit
- Proficiency utilizing learning management system
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Adapt quickly to changing demands, assignments, and circumstances to meet student needs
- Engage in continuous improvement in the quality of instruction by embracing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods
Desired Qualifications
- Technical Diploma in Woodworking Technology
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of two years of occupational experience in the program or programs being taught
- One year of relevant occupational experience may be waived if the instructor has at least 2 years of post-secondary teaching experience within 5 years prior to hire
- Prior teaching or training experience preferred
- Valid Driver's License
- Proficient with MS Office, Bluebeam, Procore, and Revit
- Proficiency utilizing learning management system
- Strong verbal communication skills
