Job Summary
Accept complete responsibility for students in the clinical facility and teach assigned course loads, including preparation for and instruction of clinical laboratory sessions. Clarify daily clinical expectations with students during pre-conferences and coordinate a daily plan with the clinical site to observe, instruct, and evaluate learners. Direct students in data collection and integration into clinical paperwork, then provide immediate feedback following skill observations. Evaluate student progress weekly, give feedback, and direct post-conferences to ensure application of theoretical content to clinical experiences. Make patient/student assignments that meet both clinical objectives and patient needs. Requires current active California RN or LVN license, five years clinical experience, and functional abilities for classroom, clinical, and laboratory teaching. Salary ranges from $45 to $50; 16 to 32 hours; travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse - current active license in the state of California
- RN with A Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- A minimum of five years' experience as a Registered Nurse
- five years' experience in the specialty field
- LVN with AA or AS degree
- 6 years experience (for LVN)
- BA or BS with 2 years experience required (any type of degree) (for LVN)
- Mon & Tues or Wed & Thurs or Sat & Sun AM or PM
- 16 to 32 hours
- Must be able to start immediately
- Travel is required
